Meet The Author
Zib Atkins
Co-Founder Ayus Wellness
Zib is a co-founder at Ayus Wellness and has a strong background in health optimisation, nutrition and fitness, having previously worked as a health coach, nutritional consultant and personal trainer, both to aid with management of specific health concerns and to optimise longevity/performance.
Zib holds a Masters degree in Molecular Medicine, an Undergraduate degree in Human Bioscience, a Diploma in Clinical
nutrition and is currently studying a PhD investigating factors that impact human longevity.
Alongside his contemporary education, Zib has also undergone a personal exploration of traditional, holistic health and well-being techniques.
He has developed his coaching approach utilising a scientific, evidence-based approach in combination with lessons learned from ancestral wisdom. His ethos is that science is only capable of producing evidence of that which it has suitably sensitive technology to detect, so we shouldn’t necessarily disregard traditional knowledge due to a lack of current evidence.
Zib himself has participated in several high level competitions, notably holding the title of 2018 World Powerlifting Union in the under <82kg category.
He has also competed in several <90kg strongman competitions, winning regional and national contests including MASS University National Strongman Championship won the overall and MASS National Athlete of the Year in 2017.
